چکیده
Key Points Functional orthodontic techniques have been used to correct dentofacial deformities such as parrot mouth in the young horse. An understanding of the orthodontic principles of tooth movement and the effects of forces on bone growth will insure the best surgical outcome. The combined approach with retention wires of the upper jaw combined with a fixed acrylic and aluminum incline plane has advantages over other techniques to correct parrot mouth.
